Energy Savvy Test Methodology
ITA’s Energy Savvy program is a rigorous certification program that determines the level of energy savings achieved through the use of interior window shutters and shades.

Products tested through the Energy Savvy program are installed in a test environment that has been carefully designed to create controlled exterior and interior temperatures. As exterior temperatures are incrementally increased, corresponding increases in temperature inside the test chamber are recorded every 10 minutes with a remote digital thermometer until stabilized at 90 minutes.
