New Upgrades Increase Value, Luxury of
ITA's Caslan® Designer Shadings

St. Augustine, FL—May 2, 2006 — In response to recent trends in the folding shades market, ITA Inc. has introduced several new upgrades to its popular Caslan® Designer Shadings, achieving a new level of luxury and value.

The new features enhance the function and appearance of the woven polyester shades and include a fabric-covered "snap-fit" valance, a fabric-covered bottom rail with a neutral exterior, and a deluxe fabric panel assembly for extra-deep hobbled folds. The new fabric-covered snap-fit valance is based on a PVC extrusion specifically designed to cover the operating system and coordinate with Caslan's two distinct styles: For a sleek, contemporary look, matching fabric is attached directly to the new valance. Or, a hobbled fabric panel can be used for a dramatic, full-fold look. Color-coordinated returns can be custom-trimmed to complete the ensemble. Assembly of the valance is a snap, with no sewing required.

ITA's new bottom rail assembly is a quality aluminum extrusion covered by a unique wrapping process: The room side of the bottom rail matches the body fabric, while the street side maintains Caslan's characteristic neutral white appearance prized by designers and decorators. The bottom rail easily connects to the shade using ITA's patented glue bead technology, a simple upgrade that results in a crisp, clean bottom trim. Color-coordinated end caps are included.

In response to consumer demand for an even fuller, more luxurious look for Caslan, ITA has developed a new spacer clip-and-cord assembly that increases the dimensional fullness of the shade by over 20 percent. The optional configuration can be used with any of the more than 75 standard fabric colors in the Caslan palette. Fabricators and retailers alike can use the simple innovation to instantly establish a new, luxury-grade edition of Caslan that can attract a whole new class of customers, increase profit margins, and offer, at minimal extra cost, a designer-quality shade that rivals anything from custom workroom.
