ITA Introduces FR Assured™ Advanced Fire Protection
for Window Treatments

St. Augustine, FL—July 11, 2005— In response to growing industry demand for fire retardant window coverings, ITA Inc. has launched FR Assured™, an advanced treatment technology capable of making many existing window fashion products fire retardant. Building on the new technology, the company is simultaneously introducing its own trademarked, upgraded class of fire retardant products and an FR Assured certification program based on independent testing.

The company says these new initiatives are intended to address the increasing worldwide proliferation and complexity of fire retardant standards and regulations for consumer, commercial and industrial products.

FR Assured is ITA's proprietary formulation and coating technique based on technology developed for NASA. The exclusive process can transform any window covering material into one that meets or exceeds many recognized state, national and international fire retardant standards. According to ITA, FR Assured is a versatile, economically viable technology that offers several unique advantages:

• The technology can be used on hard or soft window covering materials, either natural or man-made, including composites, and natural or synthetic fabrics.
• The treatment process incorporates stringent quality control measures to ensure that materials retain such desirable aesthetic qualities as color consistency and durability, structure, fabric texture and suppleness, or "hand."

New Products to Meet New Fire Safety Demands
To inaugurate its fire retardant product line, ITA has developed certified FR Assured versions of its two popular Meridian Home® Pleated Shade fabric styles: Satinesse FR and Crepe FR. FR Assured Pleated Shades feature high-quality polyester for superior pleat retention, with dozens of fashion colors available.
