Palm Coast, FL—April 21, 2009— ITA Inc. introduces Energy Savvy™, a proprietary energy-savings certification program to demonstrate substantial electrical savings through the use of interior shutters. Energy Savvy is a standards-based certification program that helps consumers reduce their carbon footprint while enjoying a wide selection of high-quality, beautiful window fashions. The program was developed in response to a growing awareness of the potential for energy savings through window treatments. These savings, in turn, translate to lower costs and better protection for the environment through the reduction of damaging carbon emissions, which are linked to climate change.

The Energy Savvy Program
ITA’s Energy Savvy program is a rigorous certification program that determines the level of energy savings achieved through the use of interior window shutters and shades. Products tested through the Energy Savvy program are installed in a test environment that has been carefully designed to create controlled exterior and interior temperatures. As exterior temperatures are incrementally increased, corresponding increases in temperature inside the test chamber are recorded every 10 minutes with a remote digital thermometer until stabilized at 90 minutes.
